Shameless Idealist US Broadcast

There couldn’t be a more fitting US network for the Shameless Idealist series. Another progressive media initiative by Participant Media, Pivot is a television network that launched on pay-tv, the web (takepart.com), and mobile in the fall 2013. With a diverse slate of talent and mix of original series, acquired programming, films and documentaries, Pivot aims to create “TV for passionate Millennials,” entertainment that sparks debate on important issues and inspires change through engaging content.

Shameless Idealists features the inspiring stories of Richard Branson and his daughter Holly, Magic Johnson, Nelly Furtado, Rick Hansen, Roméo Dallaire and former child soldier, Michel Chikwanine.  From their diverse backgrounds, each moved from modest roots, through formidable obstacles, to international fame, which they then converted into an effective force for change. Woven throughout are personal observations by host and co-founder of Free the Children, Craig Kielburger, along with archival material which illuminates key moments in the lives of our Shameless Idealists.

On Monday, February 10th, Pivot will be airing all 5 episodes back-to-back as part of its Random Acts of Kindness night, starting at 7pm Eastern.
