Museum Secrets Season 3 just finished its successful premiere broadcast on HISTORY (Canada) with 8 new episodes, making the total number of episodes 22. This season, we were really pleased with the great audience reactions and feedback we got to the TV show.
Here’s just a sample of the positive responses to the series, on twitter:
@TorontosAwesome: History and Museum buffs have this great new show to drool over created in Toronto – Check out @MuseumSecrets #TV
@kevinjackson13: Just watched Museum Secrets…the one hour a day History actually shows a show about…well…history
@anderBanter: “@MuseumSecrets Gotta say I love the show & love getting behind the scene but most of all love that Colm Feore is the voice.been a fan of his for yrs”
We had a rewarding experience working on Social TV initiatives – connecting with audiences on social media while they watched TV and online video. We released around 70 videos on YouTube and we held a viewing party to watch our “Inside the Israel Museum, Jerusalem” episode, which resulted in many mentions of Museum Secrets in the twitterverse.
This season we got some good media coverage, including a post of our Pirate Video on BoingBoing.net; a recommendation in the Globe and Mail; and blog posts on Shalom Life, Israel Unseen, Medievalists, and History of the Ancient World.
For those who missed the premiere broadcasts, Season 3 will be broadcast again on HISTORY (Canada) starting in June. Check the schedule for air dates in Canada. Season 3 will be broadcast in other regions soon: in October in Quebec on Historia; after July in the UK on Yesterday Channel; and in the USA on Smithsonian Channel (dates TBC).
Check out our Volume 1 DVD set, with episodes from Season 1, and watch the show when it’s convenient for you. If there is a demand for these DVDs, we’ll release future volumes with more episodes.
