Production began last month on RISK FACTOR, a one-hour POV doc for TVO and Canal D that explores how we assess risk in our daily lives and whether we can do it better. Producer-director Robert Lang finds out through encounters with risk experts from many fields, among them a back country extreme adventurer, a statistician, a nuclear physicist, a medical doctor and avalanche rescue specialist.

Here are some pics of our first shoot in beautiful Banff:

We also spent time with Will Gadd – the adventurous ice climber and paraglider who cheats death in extreme situations around the world.
