iPhone Mona Lisa interactive

We are proud to announce that we have received production funding for the Museum Secrets interactive website.

The Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund recently confirmed their support for the project, so stay tuned for more news from the digital side of the Museum series.

What is Museum Secrets about?

Based on the 6-part television series, Museum Secrets Interactive (MSI for short, as we like to call it) combines a rich-media website with a mobile augmented reality museum tour. History and travel buffs can hit the Museum Secrets website to watch web-exclusive video and delve more deeply into the worlds they saw in the television series.

The series also extends to mobile devices, placing the rich layers of history hidden in each object into the hands of museum visitors in an entertaining and informative augmented reality experience that reinvents the classic museum tour. The first season finds mysteries unfolding in museums around the world. The show is currently in development with History Television and Ryerson University and with the participation of the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund.

An iphone app is also on the way… Stay tuned here for more information.
