Over the weekend, the fastest skiers in the world, including giant slalom skier Manuel Feller, plunged 825 metres down the mountain at Jeongseon Alpine Centre in South Korea. The Giant Slalom event is a series of two timed descents, where participants must reach the bottom in the fastest time possible while skiing between several gates on their way down.
The gold medal winner, Marcel Hirscher, of Austria, earned his second gold medals in the event.
We watched this event closely in support of Manuel. He was also representing Austria and is one of the featured athletes in our documentary, Champions vs. Legends. Manuel’s performance during the shoot was of the highest calibre. He helped us uncover how ski technology has changed skiing style and has improved athletes’ performances over the years.
